Welcome to the new home of UFCW Local 1099 on the web!  Our new site allows you to view your contract, see upcoming events and much more.  Please visit often as we will be regularly updating the site. 

We believe in and practice aggressive organizing as a tool to protect and increase unionized market share in the retail industry, and to expand into other industries to organize the unorganized. At Local 1099, we are extremely proud that over the past 15 years, membership has grown over 60%. 

Our contracts are among the best in the retail industry: wages, benefits, health care for active members and retirees, major medical coverage, prescription drugs, dental and vision care programs, sick and disability pay.  Local 1099 contracts also include some of the finest pension programs anywhere. The improvements in these contracts are realized because of our dedicated and hard working members who actively participate in every aspect of the bargaining process. Because of your efforts, Local 1099 has been able to achieve favorable results at the bargaining table.

Local 1099 takes deep pride in the experience, knowledge and professionalism of our Union Representatives who service nearly 350 stores and job sites, spread over three states. They provide representation of the highest quality in an assertive fashion to ensure the protection of the rights and interests of union members.
